Dover Saddlery, Inc., the multichannel retailer of equestrian products in the United States, announced that Brad Wolansky has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors effective June 1st. Wolansky brings a wealth of retail, catalog, marketing and ecommerce leadership experience to the company; his retail career spans both private and public sectors.
“Brad’s broad experience and enthusiasm for direct marketing and retail leadership, along with his extensive background in product development, make him a natural fit for the CEO position at Dover Saddlery,” said Don Steiner, Managing Partner of Webster Capital. “Additionally, Brad is a longtime member of the equestrian community and a horse owner, which gives him clear insight into Dover’s customers.”
Most recently, Wolansky was (interim) Chief Digital Officer at Performance Sports Group via Boston’s B2C Partners. Previously, Brad was President, Consumer Direct, and President, Fundraising as well as Chief Marketing Officer for Yankee Candle, part of Newell Brands. Prior to joining Yankee Candle, Brad was CEO of The Golf Warehouse for Redcats USA and spent over 10 years with The Orvis Company, managing catalog and product development and most recently was VP of Global E-Commerce. Wolansky was also Director of E-Commerce Merchandising for Wilson’s Leather, spent time at L.L. Bean, has engineered two start-ups, and for ten years ran a family-owned group of luggage and gift stores.
“I’m thrilled to join the Dover Saddlery team,” said Wolansky. “I have great respect for the brand, the management team and the vision for Dover. I’m looking forward to bringing all the operational excellence I’ve acquired over my 30 years in retail to a team that’s unbelievably dedicated to its customers and to help support multichannel growth. Since my family began buying from Dover years ago, I completely understand the passion and commitment of this community.”
