Newegg has expanded into Canada with promises to fuel the company’s growth, according to a press release by Newegg. Newegg launched the marketplace on Jan. 23.
The new marketplace will expand Newegg’s portfolio retail categories such as apparel, appliances, jewelry, baby, home décor, consumer electronics, sporting goods, health and beauty and more.
Some of the retail brands featured on Newegg’s Canadian site include: Philips, Bissell, Apple, Sony, Cuisinart, Hamilton Beach, Rosewill, Michael Kors, LG, Antec, Seagate and many more.
While the Canadian customer base is predominantly male, the Canadian marketplace offers a collection of general merchandise to entice its female shoppers, according to Newegg.
The Newegg Canada marketplace is looking to build long-term relationships with Canadian ecommerce sellers, and give them a sales channel to showcase their products. It is only available to Canadian sellers with local physical distribution and partnerships with Canadian financial institutions.
Newegg’s marketplace enables Canadian businesses to expand their domestic customer base. The company’s ecommerce infrastructure gives their products maximum exposure through various promotional vehicles and merchandising support, according to Newegg.
All merchants selling on Newegg Canada are expected to respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours, ship all orders within 72 hours and offer a 30-day return period with a return merchandise authorization processed within 72 hours of receipt.
