Retail spending is constantly changing.  Americans in 2012 spent $4.3 trillion on retail purchases. For ecommerce more than 5% or $225 billion was spent on ecommerce sites.  According to this infographic by Baynote,  this spending represents 3.87% growth year-over-year in retail spending and 16.06% in ecommerce growth.

This guide assists retailers looking for growth in both traditional an online channels.   Failing to optimize sales for major holidays throughout the year,  can show a difference in success or failure.
