Second-quarter sales at Rochester, NY-based Transcat, a manufacturer/marketer of test, measurement, and calibration instruments, rose 5%, to $14.9 million for the three-month period ended Sept. 23. Net income fell, however, from $300,000 last year to $200,000.
Sales of distribution products increased 5%, to $9.9 million compared to $9.4 million in the second quarter last year. Sales of calibration services jumped 6%, to $5.0 million from $4.7 million.
