Annual sales at Gaiam, a manufacturer/marketer of “healthy living” products, rose a whopping 54%, to $219.5 million for the year ended Dec. 31. Sales for 2005 were $142.5 million.
Sales in Gaiam’s direct-to-consumer segment increased 74%, to $125.7 million. The company’s catalogs include Real Goods Trading Co. and Harmony. Revenue for Broomfield, CO-based Gaiam’s business segment, which sells to retailers and other resellers, increased 34%, to $93.8 million.
Net income more than quadrupled, to $5.6 million from $1.3 million in fiscal 2005.
For the fourth quarter, sales increased 13%, to $72.8 million. Net income nearly tripled, to $4.3 million up from $1.5 million.
