L.L. Bean was named Catalog of the Year for 2010 and Musician’s Friend earned the Website of the Year honors in the 25th Annual Multichannel Merchant Awards. L.L. Bean also took the Cross Channel Merchant of the Year honors, it was announced during a luncheon at the 2010 Retail Marking Conference in Orlando.
L.L. Bean earned Catalog of the Year based on its near-perfect scores for its Fall 2009 catalog, which earned a Gold Award in the Apparel, Sales over $20 Million category. It was the highest overall score of all the catalogs judged for this year’s competition.
Musician’s Friend, which won a Gold Award in the Computer and High-Tech Equipment and Software category, had the highest score of all the Websites judged.
L.L. Bean also received a Gold Award in the Sporting Goods/Hobbies print catalog category, two Silver Awards in print categories and a Silver Award for its Website in the Apparel, Sales over $20 Million category.
The winners were selected from 51 print channel finalists and 21 Web channel finalists.
