It was a stellar fiscal 2006 for Hampstead, MD-based cataloger/retailer Jos. A. Bank Clothiers. For the fiscal year ended Feb. 3, the menswear merchant posted record sales of $546.4 million, representing an 18% increase over fiscal 2005. Net income climbed 22%, to $43.2 million from $35.3 million. The year-end cash balance grew to $43.1 million, and long-term debt was reduced to $400,000.
Same-store sales increased more than 4%, and direct marketing sales increased a whopping 23.5%. No specific figures were given regarding direct marketing sales.
