How Ballard Designs Drives Sales and Rewards Loyal Fans

There are millions of people visiting social media sites every day, but many businesses are still struggling with how to capture these interactions and use them to drive more personalized marketing.

The right tool and tactics though, will allow savvy marketers can integrate social into their broader digital marketing strategy that will ensure results.

One way to use social media is by acquiring new high-value customers.  Using social media can be done through ads, customer service, email marketing, brand advocacy programs and measurement.

For example, home furnishings retailer Ballard Designs wanted to drive sales, reward loyal fans and gather social data.  Ballard Designs was able to create a two-part promotional giveaway offering 20% off all products and a chance to win Ballard bucks.

This created great design, easy social sharing, strategic fields to gather data and is relevant to customers.  The results drove $400,000 in sales, a 72% increase in fans and 31,000 new names added to the database.
