Cooking.com Increases Sales on Marketplaces by 254%

Cooking.com said it has increased its sales on marketplaces and been able to access more shoppers and channels of demand to grow its revenue. The ecommerce cooking product seller   increased its sales on marketplaces by 254% year-over-year and saw a 303% year-over-year growth on eBay.

The challenge for Cooking.com was that it wanted to grow its business on marketplaces. It was looking to not only reach more customers but to maintain the positive reputation for kitchenware innovations it had built for over a decade.

“Our goal is to reach the mass audience,” said Martin Smiley, Cooking.com partnerships and consumer promotions manager.

Cooking.com began looking for the right solution to execute its ecommerce strategy. A key factor was identifying a provider that had the right all-in-one service and technology to accelerate online growth and manage customer expectations.

Cooking.com chose ChannelAdvisor to maximize its results on marketplaces, including handling the day-to-day management of listing products on several  online channels.

As a result, Cooking.com didn’t have to add to its headcount. With the help of ChannelAdvisor, Cooking.com was able to launch its products on marketplaces immediately before the holidays, allowing the company to increase the reach and visibility of its brand during its peak season.

Martin Smiley will be speaking at Multichannel Merchant’s Growing Global conference in July.
