Tonzof Inc., previously known as Tool King, announced the launch of its official website and marketplace Tonzof.com.
“We feel that Tonzof brings tremendous value to manufacturers and distributors because they are able to get in front of millions of shoppers by listing their items there,” said Ben Skigen, vice president of ecommerce and marketing at Tonzof.
The marketplace has 600 vendors including manufacturers, suppliers and distributors; brands include Sony, Panasonic, Cuisinart, Revlon, Hasbro, 3M and Black & Decker.
Tonzof has been a seller on Amazon for nearly a decade and has worked with eBay since 2001. It has been a partner with Walmart since launching its marketplace in 2010. It lists 500,000 including sports memorabilia, holiday and seasonal items, home décor, furniture and appliances.
“Essentially we deal with the headaches of selling online, work directly with marketplaces and handle customer service,” said Skigen. “Our vendors simply process the orders and we do the rest.”
Tonzof also pays the marketplace fees and offers a mobile-compatible website, since ease of use is important to online shoppers.
The company is also unveiling its Tonzof Rewards loyalty program.
When it comes to revenue sharing, Skigen said their model is akin to a traditional wholesale/retail relationship. “Our suppliers sell us products at wholesale and we sell at the lowest price possible that will cover our transaction cost and earn a profit,” he said.
