1. Sales are down, but don’t worry
A National Retail Federation survey conducted by Prosper Insights & Analytics projects retail spending during Thanksgiving weekend to be $57.4 billion, a 3% decrease vs. Thanksgiving weekend 2012. But the NRF doesn’t see a reason to panic: It still believes retail sales for holiday 2013 will still be up 3.9%.
