In an effort to boost its direct-to-customer revenue, VF Corp said it planned to open 150 stores in 2015.
The company also said it expects revenue to grow in 2015 by gains in comp store sales and is projecting ecommerce revenues to grow more than 30%, according to its earnings release.
VF’s direct-to-consumer revenues are expected to grow at about 15% in 2015 and should represent about 28% of total revenue.
Revenue in the fourth quarter rose 9% to $3.6 billion, due in part to VF’s international and direct-to-consumer business. For the year, VF’s revenue increased 8% to $12.3 billion, up from $11.4 billion in 2013, in part due to the company’s international direct-to-consumer businesses.
VF Corp owns several brands including The North Face, Kipling, Lee, JanSport, Wrangler, Timberland, Nautica and others.
