Warren, PA—General merchandise mailer Blair Corp. plans to fold its Today’s Kitchen, Improved Living, and Blair Shoppe Gift Gallery titles into its core Blair Shoppe catalog by year’s end. In a statement, president/CEO John Zawacki said that the three catalogs “have successfully generated customer activity and revenue, but we see their long-term growth potential limited as stand-alone businesses.”
With the money it will save by no longer producing the three titles, Blair will expand the circulation of its newer catalogs: 220 Hickory, which sells apparel for women 40-60 years old; Scandia Woods, which sells casual men’s apparel to baby boomers; and Blair Custom Wear, a business-to-business catalog selling apparel that can be custom-embroidered for corporate sales.
