Women’s apparel merchant Boston Proper has promoted president Sheryl Clark to CEO/president. Clark replaces Michael Tiernan, who is stepping down as CEO but will continue to serve as chairman of the company’s board of directors.
Clark, who has been president of Boca Raton, FL-based Boston Proper since January 2009, has more than 20 years of general management and merchandising experience. Before Boston Proper, she was an executive vice president of the Old Navy unit of Gap; she started her career as a buyer for Bloomingdales.
Boston Proper announced two other promotions: Vice president of e-commerce Margaret Moraskie, who joined the company in 1995, was named senior vice president of marketing. Alain Boyer was promoted from senior creative director to vice president of creative.
