Jamie Carney, president/CEO of Sudbury, MA-based online merchant Buy Rugs Direct, says creating a print catalog for her six-year-old business is simply “the next logical step for our company.” She expects to introduce the catalog by the end of March.
“We’ve had many requests for a catalog, and I think it would increase our sales,” Carney says. “The more we can branch out and find new customers, the better off we’ll be.”
Carney says she and her staff are still putting the catalog together, but she envisions it as being 26 pages. After the first catalog drop, Carney says future catalogs will be planned on a seasonal basis.
Buy Rugs Direct sells rugs from major suppliers as well as from a wide array of specialty suppliers from around the world. The company touts a 110% low-price guarantee: If a customer finds a better buy for an area rug through a competitor, Buy Rugs Direct will take an additional 10% off the competitor’s price.
