Database marketer CognitiveData last week bought multichannel marketing consultancy Lenser for an undisclosed sum.
John Lenser, who founded Lenser in 1994, confirmed the announcement via email and said he and his colleagues are now “happy Merkle employees.” Merkle is the parent company of CognitiveData.
Lenser will continue to run his company, which CognitiveData has rebranded Lenser Strategy Group, out of its San Rafael, CA office.
The two companies have had a working partnership since July 2009, when Little Rock, AR-based CognitiveData entered into an agreement to provide technology and support to drive Lenser’s relational database, analytics program and merge-purge services.
