Nashua, NH-based Delta Education, a cataloger of science and math education supplies, is acquiring Educators Publishing Service (EPS), a publisher/marketer of reading instruction materials. The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, is expected to close next month.
Nick Gaedhe will remain president of EPS, which will remain headquartered in Cambridge, MA. Gaedhe will report to Delta Education CEO Gary Facente. EPS chairman Jeffrey Hall, the grandson of the company’s founder, will leave EPS after the deal has closed. “We’ve enjoyed strong growth in our catalog business and now see the opportunity to sell disctrict-wide adoptions using Delta’s sales force,” Hall said in a statement.
Delta Education was itself acquired last year, by New York-based private equity firm The Wicks Group of Cos.
