the Mountain View, CA-based Web search engine, has launched Froogle, an online shopping search engine. Froogle includes merchant advertisements that run next to search results. The site doesn’t sell products directly; rather, Froogle serves as a link to Websites that sell the searched-for product, the same way that Google’s main site features links to other sites.
