Thomas Shull, a retail management turnaround specialist who was brought on to revamp multititle cataloger Hanover Direct as president in December 2000, was named chairman of the board on Jan. 10. He replaces Eloy Michotte, who along with fellow board member Alan Grieve resigned on Dec. 20. Weehawken, NJ-based Hanover also appointed E. Pendleton James to the board to fill Grieve’s post. James, who headed his own executive search firm, Pendleton James Associates, for 30 years before merging it with Whitehead Mann, also previously served as an assistant to presidents Nixon and Reagan.
