Dodgeville, WI-based Lands’ End announced plans to lay off about 200 full-time and 175 part-time workers, as well as cut a number of seasonal positions. The apparel and home goods cataloger said the job cuts are part of a streamlining of operations resulting from a shift of orders to the Internet and from the call centers.
As part of the streamlining, Lands’ End will close its Cross Plains, WI, call center in June. The cataloger, which is owned by Sears, Roebuck & Co., will also restructure its product development and Internet operations.
