Boca Raton, FL–It’s not often that we can report on a price decrease. But according to direct marketing services provider Worldata/WebConnect, the average price of a business merchandise buyers list fell 2% between April 2000 and April 2001. What’s more, the average cost to rent a consumer merchandise buyers file remained flat.
According to Worldata’s List Price Index, the average b-to-b buyers file was $108/M in April, down from $110/M the previous year. The average consumer buyers file was $95/M.
E-mail list prices did increase during the past year, however. The average cost of a permission-based b-to-b e-mail list rose 8%, from $259/M in April 2000 to $268/M this past year. The average cost of an opt-in consumer e-mail list inched up just 2%, from $203/M to $207/M.
