Q&A

How would you describe your job and what you do?
At The Territory Ahead I have had the pleasure of working with all the departments – from merchandising to finance as it pertains to my key role of Production Director. As Production Director, I am part of the creative and marketing teams as well as oversee prepress, paper, print and postage for the company.

Why do you think you were chosen to be an MCM Awards judge?
My judging expertise is built on my many, many years in this exciting and ever changing field of multichannel marketing. To me, an outstanding catalog is one that first peeks your interest by an enticing cover within the first three seconds. Next, a strong marketing strategy should be in place and should be reflected from start to finish. A gem should have exceptional photography, design and copy motivating consumers to make “must have” purchases.

What direct marketing subject could you talk about all day?
If I had to talk about it ALL day, I would take the fun route and go with photography and design.

What excites you most outside the office?
Planning and going on adventure travel and participating in National Charity League with my daughter. I am very addicted to running and in my spare time enjoy tennis, gardening, cooking and playing the piano.

What was your first job?
My very first job at 15 years old was at a one hour photo lab. I believe it was here that I developed a passion for photography.

In high school, I was: a social butterfly
