If you’ve ever wanted to hurl your computer as far as you could or smash your keyboard with a hockey stick, you just missed your chance to do it for charity. Computer products cataloger PC Connection last month held its 2000 .competition at its Merrimack, NH-based headquarters. Individuals competed in such unorthodox events as the CPU hurl, the keyboard slapshot, and the PC relay in exchange for donations of computer parts that can be repaired and reused. Last year’s .competition bought donations of about 1,500 computer components, many of which were returned to use in schools.
