On the Scene at MeritDirect: Spending CDW’s Money

Stamford, CT—How would you spend $100,000 in your company? In a session at MeritDirect’s Business Mailer’s Co-op & E-Com Marketing Conference, an audience member asked Ann Vargo, program developer, e-mail marketing for Vernon Hills, IL-based computers cataloger CDW, where and how she would invest $100,000 of capital in CDW. Not surprisingly, Vargo said she would invest the money in the cataloger’s Website —specifically on new photography and copy—so that all 50,000 SKUs for sale on the site are up to date. “We need to make sure all products have cross-sell and upsell capabilities.” In addition, Vargo would like to provide 360-degree views and dissected images that show the inner workings for the company’s top-selling products. The Business Mailer’s Co-op runs through Friday, July 13.
