Amazon has announced plans to open a new one million-square-foot fulfillment center in Tracy, California, making it the third one in the state for the ecommerce company.
The first California fulfillment center for Amazon opened in San Bernardino in October 2012, according to a press release. The Tracy fulfillment center, according to Amazon, is expected to bring in hundreds of additional jobs to the state.
According to the release, Amazon “is also building a site in Patterson (California) that is expected to open in summer of 2013.”
Earlier this month, Amazon also said it plans to open another one million-square-foot fulfillment center in Robbinsville, New Jersey in early 2014.
