Joining the ranks of Amazon, DHL Supply Chain announced that it has opened a warehouse in Luhari, India to help meet the growing demand from the consumer, retail, and automotive sectors, according to a press release.
One of DHL’s anchor companies, according to the release, housed in the 320,000 square-foot facility will be Proctor & Gamble.
DHL said new space is chock full of state-of-the-art warehouse technology including racking and traffic management, advanced material handling equipment such as telescopic conveyor, RF technology for barcode scanning, and integrated IT solutions with warehouse management systems.
The warehouse is also focusing on green technology including LED lighting, natural lighting, and wind assisted ventilation, according to the release.
