Aptos announced at IRCE 2016 that Ron Jon Surf Shop and Purdys Chocolatier will launch new ecommerce sites with order management systems through its platforms.
Ron Jon will also leverage the integrated functionality of Aptos Enterprise Order Management to support singular commerce on an integrated platform to manage orders across multiple channels and support consumer expectations for order delivery options and speed. Aptos Enterprise Order Management supports a single view of the customer, inventory and the order to profitably manage all commerce orders throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to fulfillment and back (RMAs).

The new site will feature responsive design to support optimal viewing and navigation across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones). As well, the platform will enable Ron Jon to showcase rich content to convey the look and feel of its surf lifestyle brand while attracting new visitors, and helping improve site conversion. The Aptos Digital Commerce SaaS-based platform will deliver quarterly upgrades, providing new features and functional enhancements to empower Ron Jon to keep up with consumer trends while easily scaling its online business.

The fully responsive website replaces Purdys two legacy eCommerce systems, enabling the chocolatier to streamline its direct-to-consumer business and its group fundraising business. The new site – delivered in just 8 months –supports singular commerce and seamless experiences, giving Purdys customers a wealth of interactive content that invites customers to explore the Purdys Chocolatier journey “from bean to bliss.”
Through innovative features such as “Chocolate U,” Purdys new site enables chocolate lovers to enjoy an online, immersive and delicious, out-of-the-box chocolate experience. Visitors can view video “Insider Clips,” which provide a look at the making of Purdys best-loved chocolates, as well as a virtual factory tour. A “Chocolate Legend” offers a fun and interactive menu of all the different types of Purdys chocolates, truffles and confections, inviting customers to hand-select their perfect mix of chocolate nirvana. Site visitors can also get chocolate recipes, learn about chocolate pairings, and sign up to attend one of Purdys in-store experiential chocolate school classes, Also showcased on the site is content about Purdys’ community involvement, green initiatives and sustainable cocoa usage.
The new site’s navigation makes it easy to browse chocolates by type, price points and other factors such as “Staff Picks,” “Most Popular” and “New” items, and products which are Kosher certified and/or free from allergens. The “From the Chocolate Kitchen” area highlights creative chocolate selections made by Purdys’ talented, award-winning, internationally trained chocolatiers who create more than 150 recipes each year. Carefully curated product selections and gift baskets are organized to make it easy to select the perfect chocolates for a wide range of occasions and celebrations – including wedding favors, thank you and hostess gifts, employee recognition and business gifts, and holidays and anniversaries.
Via Aptos Enterprise Order Management, Moneris payment processing and 3PL/shipping providers are seamlessly integrated with the site.
