Rue La La reported record-breaking sales via mobile devices Thanksgiving, with 68% of sales coming from mobile.
Rue La La’s more than 13 Million Members have embraced mobile shopping, which accounts for 50% of Rue La La’s daily sales. On Thursday evening, shoppers pushed back from the Thanksgiving table and turned to their devices.
From 5 PM – 8 PM ET, Rue La La saw its peak traffic on mobile devices. Men’s fashion and women’s accessories were the most popular items purchased via mobile and the highest value item ordered was a $10,000 diamond bracelet, which was ordered via tablet.
“Our Members voted with their phones and tablets this year. Rather than sacrificing time with friends and family, they accessed the best holiday deals and merchandise through their mobile devices,” said Steve Davis, Rue La La’s CEO. “Each year we see record breaking mobile traffic beginning with Thanksgiving weekend and this year was no exception. The increase in sales and traffic over Thanksgiving Night demonstrates to us that [our] members understand they can still access the best holiday deals wherever they may be.”
Rue La La kicked off holiday weekend shopping on Thursday evening, with the launch of the Holiday Dash Boutique, encouraging its members to lean back on the sofa and relax with their tablets and smartphones after Thanksgiving dinner.
