Computer reseller PC Mall’s net sales for the second-quarter jumped 26%, to $331.2 million for the three months ended June 30. Net income was $3.0 million, which was flat compared to the second quarter last year.
According to a release, the main reason for the surge in sales was the company’s MME segment, which sells complex products and services through a face-to-face selling model. PC Mall’s MME unit logged $104.4 million in sales–an increase of 134% over last year’s $44.6 million.
This was largely due to the inclusion of SARCOM results in the second quarter. PC Mall acquired SARCOM in August 2007 for $55 million.
