B-to-b sports equipment marketer Sport Supply Group (OTCBB: SSPY) reported revenue of $18.5 million for the three months ended Dec. 27—up 9% from $17.0 million for the comparable quarter of 2001. The quarter is traditionally the weakest for institutional suppliers of sporting goods. The Dallas-based company, which sells to schools and athletic organizations, also cut its net loss 54%, to $2.4 million from $3.7 million 12 months prior.
