Steamed at use of the S-word

It has always been my opinion that your publication has a wealth of information presented in an interesting, informative, and intelligent fashion, until today. Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I was extremely disappointed that the writer, Amy Africa, could not find a more appropriate phrase for her critique than to say that “Red Envelope’s Website sucks.” The whole point of the article is to improve communication. I would hope that in the future Amy could find a less crude way to express her disapproval. It seems that your publication is geared to a fairly sophisticated, intelligent audience, and while I would not be surprised to find that terminology in a publication geared to 20 year olds, I hold you to a higher standard.

I will continue to read and appreciate your magazine; I just hope that you work to maintain the high standards that I have come to expect from your publication.
