Vernon Hills, IL-based computer reseller CDW Corp. (Nasdaq: CDWC) achieved record second-quarter results.
Sales increased 11%, to $1.54 billion for the three months ended June 30, compared with $1.38 billion for the second quarter of 2004. Average daily sales for the second quarter rose 11%, to nearly $24.1 million. Net income increased 15%, to $67.1 million from $58.3 million.
In other CDW news, the company has created a sales team dedicated to the Healthcare market, including military hospitals, research institutions, and rural healthcare networks. Vice president Christina V. Rother, a 14-year veteran of CDW, will lead the sales team.
