Interactive/e-commerce sales rose 12% last year, reaching $31.4 billion. The figures are courtesy of a Direct Marketing Association study, “The DMA’s Economic Impact: U.S. Direct and Interactive Marketing Today.”
The DMA expect online sales to grow to more than $36.0 billion this year and to hit $81.1 billion in 2006. Those figures include revenue from financial-services providers and the travel industry as well as from online catalogers and retailers.
