New York—Today’s teens may be tech savvy, but that doesn’t mean they’re spending online. According to a recent study by Internet marketing research firm Jupiter Media Metrix, 89% of teens ages 13-17 have never made an online purchase. What’s more, the study found that nearly one-third, or 29%, of teens research products on the Internet before buying them at stores. According to Jupiter, the reason for the low level of teens shopping online could be that they do not own credit cards.
