A National Retail Federation survey shows that consumers plan to spend an average of $97 per household on Mother’s Day gifts this year, up 36% increase from $62 last year.
Nearly 22% of respondents plan to give Mom jewelry this year, compared with19% last year. Although the survey doesn’t cite the percentage of consumers who plan to shop by catalogs, it does report that 16.8% of respondents expect to shop online for their Mother’s Day gifts this year, compared with 14.6% last year.
