Wall Street Creations Shut Down Amid Racketeering Charges

Rome, GA-The Floyd County district attorney closed down the Wall Street Creations catalog and D.L. Pimper Group investment firm-both owned by David and Amy Pimper-on Jan. 29, Catalog Age has learned. According to reports in the Rome News-Tribune, the D.A. alleged racketeering violations. Two weeks later, on Feb. 15, superior court judge Robert Walther ordered that the catalog be reopened to issue customers due refunds and to figure out which orders needed to be filed.

Then on Feb. 21, according to News-Tribune reports, a superior court judge told creditors to foreclose on the Pimpers’ home and stopped all merchandise shipments from the catalog. Several days later, the Pimpers filed for bankruptcy protection for the catalog. The problems, according to News-Tribune reports, stem from a civil racketeering suit filed by the D.A. Tami Colston that accused the Pimpers of misrepresentation and theft of client property using an “asset allocation” service, the News-Tribune reported.

At press time, calls to Pimper were not returned. The Wall Street Creations corporate number was disconnected, and the toll-free ordering line had been unlisted.
