INDIANAPOLIS, IN- April 19, 2011 –Fifth Gear, a provider of outsourced order fulfillment services, has expanded operations with its lease of a 115,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Fifth Gear specializes in services for direct retailers in the ecommerce and catalog channels including order fulfillment, contact center support, ecommerce technology and marketing services.
This new locale will provide Fifth Gear with additional capacity and strategic growth options for many of their new and existing clients. The Pennsylvania location also houses an embroidery facility and room for a future contact center. In addition to the new facility, which is expandable to over 165,000 square feet, Fifth Gear operates nearly one-half million square feet of warehouse space in the greater Saint Louis, Missouri area.
With its headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, and contact centers in Louisiana and Moberly, Missouri, Fifth Gear President Matt Konkle believes that this new expansion will further strengthen relationships with its existing customer base, cultivate new business relationships, and enhance the Fifth Gear brand. “Our customers drive our business,” Konkle said. “Fifth Gear is very excited about the new opportunity to grow, and we welcome the opportunity to leverage this new location to better serve our existing and future clients.”
Fifth Gear will begin operations in Hazleton with approximately 30 new team members joining a workforce of over 500 nationally. Konkle added that the Pennsylvania workforce will likely increase in size before the end of the year.
