PC Mall
may not be in favor of bigger government—but it’s apparently seeking bigger government sales. To that end, the Torrance, CA-based computer cataloger has formed PC Mall Gov, a subsidiary devoted to sell to the goverment and education institutions.
PC Mall’s government and education sales increased 33% last year even without a devoted subsidiary. “We believe that our size and related purchasing power with key vendors as well as the efficiency of our fulfillment infrastructure gives us tremendous service-level capabilities to serve the government market,” president/CEO Frank Khulusi said in a statement.
Earlier this month, fellow computer cataloger Micro Warehouse announced the establishment of its own government/education market subsidiary, Micro Warehouse Gov/Ed.
