Thanksgiving Day Ecommerce Growth Continues
So much for the stores-being-open-Thanksgiving-Day hype: According to a survey of consumers by Placed Insights, just 22% of respondents plan to shop on Thanksgiving Day. However, due a limited number of retailers open on Thanksgiving, 46% of shoppers were more likely to shop online. Thanksgiving Day sales are projected to surpass $1 billion and could overtake Black Friday within the next five years, according to the Adobe Digital Index 2013 Online Shopping Forecast.
