Bazaarvoice Appoints Colby Smith as General Manager, Influenster

Smith to oversee all business operations at Influenster, a Bazaarvoice Inc. business unit

New York, NY, Sep.t 9, 2020 – Bazaarvoice Inc. today announced that it has appointed Colby Smith as General Manager (GM) of its Influenster business unit.

Smith, who has over 15 years experience in the digital and media industries, will focus on defining the business and community goals to help Influenster deliver a world-class offering to market. Kelly Trammel, who has been acting as interim GM for Influenster, will now step back into his role as Executive Vice President, Services, at Bazaarvoice.

Smith spent the past nine years at Disney, most recently as SVP and GM. In this position, he led the digital and streaming charge for the brands of Walt Disney Television, which include the ABC network, Good Morning America, FiveThirtyEight, Marvel, and Disney Channel. Smith gained valuable experience in defining and building high growth B2C products and brands, making him a perfect fit for the Influenster role, where he will scale the community globally. Smith will initially focus on expanding the community into new regions and verticals, defining the marketing strategy, and enhancing the user experience on the platform.
