Nordstrom’s Reports 37% Increase in Direct Sales for Q2

Nordstrom reported a 37% increase in direct sales during the second quarter, on top of last year’s increase of 40%, according to a press release.

The company reported the increase in direct sales was a result of “expanded merchandise selection and ongoing technology investments to enhance the online experience.”

Nordstrom’s same-store sales which consists of the full-line and direct businesses increased 4.2%.  Total company net sales of $3.1 billion for the second quarter increased 6.4% compared to the 2012 figures of $2.9 billion.
