The same-day delivery sweepstakes certainly seems to be heating up as the summer nears the end. Just this past week, Foot Locker, Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s all announced plans this week to test or roll out same-day delivery.
Google announced that its Google Shopping Express, a same-day delivery service, is now available to everyone in the Bay area from San Francisco to San Jose, according to a press release.
Google is steadily making changes to its online shopping experience for consumers. In just a few months, the search engine has made several announcements in order to compete with the likes of Amazon and its brands.
Same-day fulfillment continues to capture the attention of retailers, whether direct delivery to the customer or in-store pickup. Unlike a few months ago, retailers now have more same-day options to evaluate and test, including both in-house and outsourced approaches.
Google announced last week same-day delivery known as Google Shopping Express in the San Francisco area, according to an article on Mashable.com.
