Nordstrom is partnering with Anthropologie to introduce home products line in 15 of their retail locations and on Nordstrom.com beginning March 19.
The partnership between the two companies will introduce 200 items from Anthropologie Home that will include items for the kitchen, dining and entertaining, bed and bath textiles, room décor, stationary and hardware, according to a press release.
“We are thrilled to be launching the best of Anthropologie Home into 15 Nordstrom stores and on Nordstrom.com,” said Gemma Lionello, Executive Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Nordstrom, in a release. “Home is a category we continue to evolve and being Anthropologie’s partner will allow us to introduce dynamic home product with a regular cadence. We look forward to providing our customers with another way to shop one of their favorite home brands.”
The home product collection is made up of new seasonal designs and exclusive artist collaborations, including works of 20 artists from around the world.
This collaboration is part of a larger trend of partnerships between retailers, sometimes those in competition with each other. For example, Walmart partnered with Lord & Taylor and is selling on Walmart.com. In September, Kohls announced it would start selling Amazon smart devices in its stores in Los Angeles and Chicago.
Forbes reported that Nordstrom’s partnership with Anthropologie is intended to boost shopper discovery and full-price sales through limited distribution and private label merchandise. In February, Nordstrom expanded its Treasure & Bond “give back” apparel and accessories brand to home goods with new ceramic dinnerware, an artisanal cheese board and textured glass pieces, among other home products.
Nordstrom donates 2.5% of this collection’s net sales to nonprofit organizations empowering youth, such as the WE Charity.
