Nordstrom is launching a revamp of its customer loyalty program, incorporating a traditional point system and benefits from its previous program while offering enhanced personalization.
The new program will offer customers more rewards at a faster earn rate and additional access to services and personalized experiences. For example, Nordstrom credit card members will earn three points per dollar for purchases at Nordstrom, a 50% increase in earn rate. Members paying with cash or non-Nordstrom card holders will earn one point for every dollar spent.
“With the launch of The Nordy Club, we’re excited to go beyond the model of points for (Nordstrom cash) and enhance our relationships with existing customers while giving new customers more reasons to engage with us,” said Scott Meden, Chief Marketing Officer for Nordstrom in a press release. “We’ve seen significant growth over the last few years and our 10+ million active members spend four times more and shop with us three times more than non-members.”
Members will have access to new product launches through a “First to Shop” program, and to an off-price clearance event called Clear the Rack. They can also collect Nordstrom cash faster through the app at $5, $10 and $15 increments or wait to be issued a $20 value. The program will continue to offer personal bonus point days and Nordstrom Notes spending rewards.
The app’s integrated dashboard allows members to see and interact with the loyalty program, giving them access to their status, points balance and spend-to-next level, including available Nordstrom cash.
