Topshop plans to close its 11 U.S. stores after filing for bankruptcy, including doors in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Chicago, while continuing its Topshop and Topman brands online and through wholesale partners like Nordstrom.

Fulfillment Helps Target Drive 42% Q1 Ecommerce Growth

Target reported ecommerce sales growth of 42% in the first quarter, with positive guest response to same-day digital fulfillment services. The quarter marked Target’s eighth consecutive quarter of comparable sales increases. CEO Brian Cornell said the retailer’s comparable sales growth of 4.8% was a bit ahead of expectations.

Citing Challenges, Dressbarn to Close All Stores

Dressbarn parent company Ascena Retail Group announced it would begin to wind down the brand’s retail operations including the closure of all 650 stores, without giving a firm date. In 2017 the company said the shuttering would take place through 2019.
