Free Returns Still Drive Loyalty, Even As Thresholds Rise

Even as more retailers are increasing thresholds for free returns shipping in the face of massive volume and steadily rising costs, 79% of consumers said they’d be more likely to make a repeat purchase from those offering free returns or exchanges, according to a new survey from solution provider Loop. 75% said they expect retailers to make new product suggestions based on their purchase.

FedEx Adds Returns Service at Walgreens Stores Nationwide

With returns such a huge piece of the ecommerce experience, FedEx is making it easier by adding return services at thousands of Walgreens stores nationwide next month in a partnership expansion. FedEx’s returns technology, launched in 2018, allows returned items to be dropped off, inspected, packed and in some cases processed.

Kohl’s Expands Amazon Returns to All 1,150 Stores in the Lower 48

A year and a half after first testing the program in Los Angeles and Chicago, Kohl’s will start accepting Amazon returns in July for free at its 1,150 stores in the 48 continental U.S. states, even without a box or label. Kohl’s says that “eligible Amazon items” can be returned free of charge.
